q.beyond's Buy Calls Survive Guidance Cut as Traders Eye November 9 Update
Published on 10/28/2026 at 14:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deTwo brokerages have trimmed their price targets on q.beyond but left their buy ratings untouched, a split verdict that leaves the German IT services firm's weakened 2026 outlook squarely in the spotlight ahead of its quarterly statement on November 9, 2026.
The preliminary third-quarter figures, released on October 21, showed EBITDA of ?4.8 million euros — a sharp reversal from the 3.0 million euros posted in the same period a year earlier. Revenue, by contrast, held broadly steady at 43.2 million euros against 43.6 million euros previously, so the swing into loss cannot be pinned on a collapse in sales.
Provisions Weigh on the Result
q.beyond attributed part of the damage to 4.3 million euros in provisions tied to an accelerated AI transformation. Those charges are a major component of the earnings shortfall, though management did not present them as the sole cause of the deterioration.
The guidance revision reaches well beyond the quarter. For the full 2026 financial year, the company now projects EBITDA of between ?4 million and ?2 million euros, abandoning an earlier range of 3 million to 7 million euros. The new band sits entirely in negative territory — no longer a question of a smaller profit, but of an expected loss at the operating line.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying q.beyond?
Revenue expectations came down as well, to 174 million to 178 million euros from 176 million to 180 million euros. The cut to sales is milder than the hit to earnings, meaning the revision chiefly rewrites the profitability story rather than the top-line one.
Targets Cut, Ratings Held
Montega confirmed its buy recommendation while lowering its price target to 5.20 euros from 5.50 euros. NuWays took its target to 4.90 euros from 5.10 euros, also keeping a buy rating. Both moves came on October 22, the day after the preliminary numbers landed.
The reduced targets signal that neither house left its valuation untouched — each marked its assessment lower even as the underlying investment case stayed positive. NuWays' note responded explicitly to the preliminary quarterly figures and the trimmed annual guidance.
q.beyond at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
What the buy calls do not alter is the new earnings baseline: q.beyond now expects a negative EBITDA for the year, and that is the yardstick against which the upcoming quarterly statement will be measured.
