The uranium junior formerly known as Kirkstone Metals has secured approval for up to 7,000 metres of diamond drilling at its Gorilla Lake project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin — a rare piece of operational news for a company whose recent history has been dominated by administrative change rather than exploration milestones.

The permit for the drill programme follows a helicopter-borne time-domain electromagnetic survey conducted in 2024, which flagged several structural trends the company considers worthy of follow-up. The planned work also includes an airborne electromagnetic survey and subsequent ground verification before drilling gets underway.

A Rebrand Completed, But Questions Remain

That operational update lands as Radiant Uranium completes a sweeping corporate overhaul that has touched nearly every aspect of its public identity. The company changed its name from Kirkstone Metals, secured a new listing on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the ticker RUC, and saw its shares delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange at the close of trading on 5 August. The CSE listing, effective the following day, covers 41,216,666 common shares under CUSIP 75026P106 and ISIN CA75026P1062.

For European investors, the transition carried an additional administrative wrinkle: the ISIN used on German exchanges was switched from CA49752E1060 to CA75026P1062 on a one-for-one basis. Such technical adjustments carry no operational significance — they alter neither the business nor the balance sheet — but they tend to generate investor queries, particularly when they coincide with a scarcity of hard financial data.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Radiant Uranium?

That data gap is currently acute. Radiant Uranium has filed a report covering the third quarter and first nine months ended 30 April 2026, yet the specific financial figures within it have not been made publicly available. For a company that has just changed both its name and its trading venue, the absence of visible revenue, earnings, or cost trends makes it difficult to assess whether anything of substance lies behind the rebranding.

Exploration Pipeline Intact

Operationally, the company remains a junior explorer with a portfolio of three early-stage uranium projects in the Athabasca Basin: Key Lake Road, Gorilla Lake, and Douglas River. The flagship Key Lake Road asset spans more than 5,500 hectares and sits roughly 90 kilometres south of the Key Lake mine and mill.

The drilling campaign at Gorilla Lake is being funded through a non-brokered private placement completed in March, still under the Kirkstone Metals name. The company placed up to 10 million units at C$0.20 each, generating gross proceeds of up to C$2 million. Each unit comprised one common share and half a warrant, with the warrants exercisable at C$1.00.

Share Price Tells Its Own Story

The market, however, has shown little enthusiasm for the corporate reinvention. The stock closed at €0.0897 on Tuesday, down 24.24 percent over the preceding 30 days. Since the start of the year, the shares have lost 98.12 percent — a decline that underscores the punishing environment for small-cap uranium explorers in 2026.

The current price sits perilously close to the 52-week low of €0.0851, a world away from the €9.40 high reached a year earlier. That collapse cannot be pinned on any single catalyst; it reflects a year of structural interventions — the name change, the exchange switch, the ISIN migration — set against a thin flow of operational disclosure.

Whether the new drilling permit at Gorilla Lake marks the beginning of a more substantive chapter for Radiant Uranium remains an open question. For now, investors are left weighing the promise of the exploration programme against a share price that has yet to find its footing, and a financial reporting record that offers little clarity on the company's underlying trajectory. No analyst commentary or insider trading activity has been disclosed to provide additional colour.
