Renk Redraws 2026 Guidance Around Continuing Operations as Miba Deal Awaits Regulatory Clearance

Renk reframes 2026 guidance to EUR 1.4B revenue and EUR 240-255M adjusted EBIT, excluding the plain bearing unit it agreed to sell to Miba.

Renk has recast its full-year forecast to reflect only the businesses it will keep, a move tied to a binding agreement to sell its plain bearing division to Austria's Miba AG. The reframing matters more than the headline numbers for anyone trying to value the defence supplier: the outlook now describes a smaller company, not a deteriorating one.

Under the new scope, Renk expects revenue of roughly EUR 1.4 billion for 2026, with adjusted EBIT of EUR 240–255 million. Both figures are projections rather than reported results, and both exclude the unit earmarked for divestment.

Contract signed, closing still pending

The sale agreement itself has been struck, with a purchase price in the low-to-mid three-digit million euro range. That range sets the order of magnitude of the deal — it is not a precisely quantified proceeds figure, so no concrete cash inflow for Renk can be derived from it yet.

Just as important, the transaction is not complete. Closing remains subject to customary regulatory approvals, which means the signing of the contract and the completion of the sale should not be treated as the same event.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Renk Group?

A separate signal on the shareholder register

Alongside the corporate action, a voting rights notification published today showed a total position of 5.06% in Renk as of the previous day, up from 4.57% previously reported. The composition is what counts: instruments account for 4.28% of the total, while directly held voting rights make up just 0.78%.

Reading the aggregate as a comparable stake in physical shares would overstate the direct holding. The filing is a disclosure on ownership structure, not evidence about the company's operating performance, and it carries no implications for earnings guidance or order intake.

Management stands behind the outlook

On a pre-close call ahead of the nine-month figures, Renk's management said business was tracking to plan and reaffirmed the 2026 guidance, still targeting the upper half of the adjusted EBIT range. That is a confirmation of the existing outlook, not an upgrade.

The distinction runs through both pieces of news: the mandatory disclosure concerns the shareholder base, while management's comments concern business expectations. A larger reported position should not be read as an additional operational forecast.

Order book extends well beyond the current year

Operationally, Renk has stacked up contract wins that stretch far into the future. A follow-on order from Patria, reported about two weeks ago, covers additional HSWL-076 transmissions for the TRACKX vehicle family and is worth EUR 30 million.

Renk Group at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

A larger award already made public with KNDS Deutschland carries a volume of around EUR 130 million, covering transmissions, control units and gear selectors for the Leopard 2 and vehicles in that family. Deliveries are scheduled for 2029 to 2032.

That delivery window underlines the long-dated nature of the work. Neither order should be confused with revenue already booked, and neither provides grounds to raise the current-year forecast independently. An order intake is not the same as realised sales.

November 5 is the next checkpoint

Renk is due to publish its third-quarter results and nine-month figures on 05.11.2026. That report will be the first real test of how operating performance squares with the newly scoped annual guidance — and, on the corporate side, the regulatory condition on the Miba sale remains the deciding factor.
