Renk investors heading into the company's nine-month report on November 5, 2026, face a more complicated exercise than usual. The figures due that day — released alongside a conference call — will land against a forecast that no longer describes the whole group, and against a sell-side community that is upbeat on orders but noticeably cooler on profit.

At the centre of the shift is the agreement, struck on October 22, to sell Renk's plain bearing business to Miba. Completion still hinges on the customary regulatory approvals, so the deal is not yet a closed change of ownership. From the fourth quarter of 2026, however, the bearing unit is to be reported under IFRS 5 as a discontinued operation. That reclassification matters: the split between continuing and discontinued activities now carries unusual weight, and a revised forecast cannot simply be read as an operating improvement or deterioration.

What the trimmed guidance actually covers

For the continuing business, Renk expects revenue of roughly EUR 1.4 billion in fiscal 2026, with adjusted EBIT of between EUR 240 million and EUR 255 million. Those numbers frame what remains of the group — the civil operations of Renk Marine & Industry are unaffected by the sale — and they, rather than headline announcements about new technology or individual contracts, are the yardstick against which the November update should be measured.

Analysts have already begun adjusting. On October 23, DZ Bank cut its fair value to EUR 56 from EUR 64 while keeping a "Buy" rating, with analyst Holger Schmidt reworking his estimates to reflect the announced acquisitions and disposals. The lower valuation did not signal a retreat from his positive stance, but it illustrates how a buy call and reduced expectations can sit side by side.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Renk Group?

Orders and earnings pull in different directions

MPCM's Christian Cohrs took a similarly split view the same day. He projected order intake 9% above consensus, yet put adjusted EBIT 6% below it — a gap he drew deliberately. A stronger-than-expected order book would not automatically translate into an operating beat, and MPCM maintained both its "Buy" rating and a EUR 63 price target.

JPMorgan, for its part, trimmed its price target and lowered its earnings-per-share forecasts for the coming years, citing a slower ramp-up of German armoured vehicle programmes and dimmer prospects for Renk's industrial business, according to dpa-AFX. It too kept its positive rating.

Development work is not the same as a purchase order

The company's pipeline offers plenty of talking points, though the distinction between technical progress and confirmed business is worth keeping in view. On the HSWL 406 tank transmission, Renk names Italy's New Main Battle Tank as a possible procurement programme; the development covers output of up to 1,400 kW. The operative word is "possible" — Renk is describing a potential application for future heavy tracked vehicles, not a confirmed order from that programme.

Renk Group at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

Confirmed business looks different. RENK Magnet-Motor is to supply three Stirling power generation systems for a submarine programme run by a NATO member state, the third major order to emerge from the company's collaboration with Saab, according to the firm.

Long-term prospects, in other words, do not by themselves lift near-term profit estimates. The group overhaul changes the earnings base, signed contracts underpin the business and development projects open up further options — but the pace at which any of it converts into revenue and profit is what counts. November 5 is the next scheduled checkpoint for judging that.
