Renk Wins Buy Signals Before November Test as Miba Deal Awaits Clearance
Published on 10/23/2026 at 20:50 | Editorial boerse-global.deTwo brokerage notes landed on Renk on the same day, and both carry a "Buy" — yet neither settles the question that matters most ahead of the company's next set of numbers. MPCM's Christian Cohrs calls for solid quarterly figures, while JPMorgan's David H. Perry endorses the agreed sale of the plain-bearings division to Miba. The stock, for its part, slipped 2.2% on the session, a reminder that upbeat research does not always travel straight into the price.
Cohrs has kept his target at €63 and his recommendation unchanged. His order-intake forecast sits 9% above consensus, but his estimate for adjusted operating profit before interest and taxes lands 6% below it. That split is the heart of the matter: expectations, not reported results, and a signal that a strong order book alone may not carry the next release.
A Date to Measure Both Halves
Renk has scheduled publication of its nine-month 2026 figures for 5 November 2026. That date gives investors the first hard test of the optimistic order view against the more guarded earnings call. Until then, the analyst's stance remains a projection rather than evidence of how the business actually performed.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Renk Group?
JPMorgan's take runs along a different track. Perry sees the bearings disposal, struck through wholly owned subsidiary Renk GmbH, as turning the group into a near-pure defence player, and he praises the price secured. The transaction still hinges on antitrust clearance, so the strategic logic and the closing of the deal must be judged separately.
What the Slimmer Group Is Expected to Deliver
Renk's adjusted guidance for continuing operations points to roughly €1.4bn in revenue for 2026, with adjusted EBIT of between €240m and €255m. Those figures set the financial frame for a business increasingly tilted toward defence — a shift the company wants to take to 90% of sales by 2030. That is an ambition, not proof that margins have already improved.
The reporting treatment adds another layer. From the fourth quarter of 2026, Renk intends to classify the bearings unit as discontinued under IFRS 5 — a presentation matter distinct from the pending regulatory approval. Which activities sit inside the continuing numbers will shape how the November release reads.
Two Tests, Not One
Discussion among investors has also touched on a modest operational trim to the guidance, according to dpa-AFX, suggesting the revised outlook is not simply a matter of carving out the bearings business. For anyone weighing the stock, the next print has to clear two bars at once: Renk must meet the order expectations and show how durable its earnings outlook really is. A round of buy ratings does not pre-empt that examination.
