The company's new Gewerkcontroller TC 0 is engineered to act as a translator of sorts — a central hub that lets professional-grade burglar alarm systems communicate with a building's general control infrastructure. The technical backbone of this connection is an RS485 interface, which allows certified alarm hardware to be folded into the larger automation ecosystem. Tekko points to Telenot installations as a primary use case, specifically calling out the hiplex 8400H model as compatible.
What does that mean in practice? For end users, it opens the door to managing security functions through a mobile app rather than being tethered to a wall-mounted keypad. The move reflects a broader industry shift toward intuitive interfaces — though Tekko insists this convenience doesn't come at the expense of the rigorous standards that certified security hardware must meet.
Beyond Burglar Alarms: A Wider Safety Net
The TC 0's ambitions extend well past intrusion detection. On the video front, the controller can handle feeds from up to 16 cameras, giving facility managers a single vantage point for visual monitoring. RFID access readers can also be wired into the system, turning physical entry control into another data stream that automation logic can act upon.
Water damage and other technical hazards fall within the device's remit as well. The controller processes signals from water detectors and various other technical sensors, consolidating inputs that previously might have required separate monitoring setups. That aggregation enables coordinated responses when something goes wrong — think automatic valve shutdown the moment a leak is detected, or lighting sequences triggered during an alarm event to aid response teams.

Industry professionals won't have to wait long to see the hardware in action. Tekko has confirmed the TC 0 will make its public debut at Security Essen, the trade fair running from September 22 to 25, 2026. Attendees can find the company in Hall 7 at booth 7E12, where demonstrations will cover both the physical integration of components and the software layer that powers the app-based controls.
For security system planners and installers, the launch signals another step in the gradual convergence of traditional safety hardware with the kind of intelligent, responsive building infrastructure that's becoming standard in new construction.
