Super Micro Sets November 3 Reckoning as Raised Guidance Meets New Nokia and Nutanix Alliances
Published on 10/27/2026 at 17:21 | Editorial boerse-global.deSuper Micro Computer has handed investors two very different things to chew on: a sharply upgraded set of preliminary numbers and a pair of partnerships that point to where management wants the business to go next. The stock rose 7.1% on the guidance news, and the full first-quarter fiscal 2027 report — plus a conference call at 5 p.m. ET on November 3 — is now the date that matters.
Guidance Lifted Well Above the Old Range
The preliminary figures, released October 20 and covering the quarter that closed at the end of September, put revenue at $18.5 billion to $19.5 billion. That sits entirely above the prior forecast of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion. Management pinned the upgrade on stronger demand for its AI platforms.
Profitability is moving in the same direction, though for a somewhat different reason. Super Micro expects a gross margin of 12.0% to 12.5%, up from the 10.4% to 10.8% it had previously guided. The company credits the customer and product mix for that improvement rather than volume alone — a distinction that matters, since a purer demand story would say less about earnings quality than a simultaneous lift in both revenue and margin.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Super Micro Computer?
None of these figures have been audited. They remain estimates until the complete quarterly results land.
Two Deals, Two Different Horizons
Announced October 21, the same day Rosenblatt Securities reportedly lifted its price target to $57 from $51 while reaffirming a buy rating, the partnerships stretch Super Micro's AI infrastructure into new territory. With Nokia, the company is targeting AI-driven radio access networks, combining Nokia's radio technology, the NVIDIA Aerial RAN Computer and Supermicro hardware. Deployments are envisioned everywhere from distributed cell sites to centralized network hubs.
The Nutanix arrangement is a joint plan for a private AI inference solution, linking Supermicro servers with Nutanix Agentic AI, NVIDIA graphics processors and NVIDIA Spectrum-X. That one won't be available until early 2027 — a reminder that announcements are not the same as booked revenue.
What November 3 Has to Deliver
Reuters noted that the preliminary outlook gave sentiment across the AI sector an extra lift, and the Rosenblatt move followed directly on the quarterly pre-announcement. Even so, the strategic context supplied by Nokia and Nutanix only goes so far. The immediate test is whether the full numbers substantiate the raised revenue and margin ranges. Until then, the guidance stands as an estimate — and the November 3 filing is where it gets settled.
