Ergonomic Chairs Go Hyper-Specific: €1,269 Tall-Person Models and Shiatsu Massage Gaming Seats Hit Market

The market for office and gaming chairs is fracturing into ever-narrower niches. Instead of one-size-fits-all solutions, manufacturers are now releasing products aimed at specific body types, gaming scenarios and even exclusive tournament editions. Two German brands—LiberNovo and AutoFull—and established player DXRACER are among those doubling down on specialization.

LiberNovo launches its Maxis series on 16 June 2026, explicitly targeting users who are at least 1.75 metres tall. Certified to BIFMA standards, the chairs can support up to 181 kilograms. The lineup includes three variants: the entry-level Maxis Manual at €829, the electric version Maxis Electric at €1,079, and the ventilated Maxis Airflow at €1,269. Two additional models, the Omni SE and Omni Pro, sit in the mid-range price bracket. Early buyers can claim staggered discounts until the end of July.

For the gaming segment, AutoFull has signed on as an official partner for IEM Cologne 2026. The ESL event will feature specialized chairs that go well beyond mechanical adjustments. The M6 Ultra+ 2.0 integrates a full Shiatsu massage function, while the M6 Ultra 2.0 combines ergonomic support with active seat cooling and heating. The company says the technology is designed to reduce physical strain during extended gaming sessions.

DXRACER is taking a different route to exclusivity. The manufacturer has become an official partner of the tenth anniversary of Dead by Daylight. For the celebrations in mid-June in Montreal, it created a limited edition of its CRAFT Series. These models will remain exclusive to the event and will not appear in regular retail channels.

The broader takeaway: ergonomics is no longer just about passive lumbar support. The industry is moving toward seating as an integrated system—combining individual fit, material quality, and active comfort technologies such as massage, climate control, and height-specific design.
