Lovers Rose marks a seven-track collaboration for Alicia Keys
The announcement appeared in a Vogue Italia cover interview dated 26 October 2026, which introduces Lovers Rose as the pair’s first album together. The Vogue Italia interview presents the project as a seven-track work.
Complex album report also describes the collaboration as a joint project shaped by R&B, Chicano soul, Latin traditions and lowrider culture. The announcement therefore places the album’s identity in its shared musical construction, rather than presenting it as another solo collection.
Alicia Keys carries piano-led R&B into the new album
Alicia Keys is a New York singer, songwriter, pianist and producer whose work connects R&B and soul with a strong keyboard presence. Her debut album Songs in A Minor established that combination through songwriting, vocals and piano-centred arrangements.
That background gives Lovers Rose a clear bridge to her established musical language while opening it towards Latin traditions and car culture. On 26 October 2026, the album announcement connected those elements with Swizz Beatz’s production and writing role.
Lovers Rose links soul traditions with lowrider culture
The project’s seven tracks draw on several related strands rather than a single genre label. R&B and Chicano soul provide the central musical frame, while Latin traditions and lowrider culture broaden the palette described around the album.
The combination also extends Alicia Keys’ piano-led approach into a collaboration built around exchange. Swizz Beatz is presented as an active musical partner, with the album’s concept centred on the two artists creating together.
