Bruno Mars connects pop with R&B and funk
Britannica describes Bruno Mars as an American singer and songwriter from Honolulu whose music moves across pop, R&B, funk and soul. His performance identity grew from live entertainment, while his recordings combine contemporary pop structures with older soul and rhythm-and-blues influences.
His solo catalogue includes Doo-Wops & Hooligans, Unorthodox Jukebox and 24K Magic. He also formed Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak, extending his work into a separate R&B duo. The Mexico City run places that broad musical profile in one stadium across five dates.
