EPiC brings Elvis Presley into German home cinema
The German product listing gives 5 November 2026 as the release day for the Steelbook edition of EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert. It identifies Universal Pictures as the label and describes the package as a 4K UHD and Blu-ray release. The listing also names Baz Luhrmann as director and Elvis Presley among the performers.
The edition is built as a physical home-cinema release rather than a new studio recording. Its central material comes from concert films, while previously unreleased Super-8 footage from the Graceland archives is included in the restored presentation. The product details identify the genre as documentary.
How Elvis Presley’s archive shapes the concert film
Graceland’s biography describes Presley as a singer whose music drew on pop, country, gospel and rhythm and blues. It also presents his career across film, television and live performance, placing EPiC at the intersection of several established parts of his work.
That connection gives the film a defined musical focus. The concert footage keeps Presley’s performance at the centre, while Luhrmann’s reconstruction uses archive material to extend the experience beyond a conventional live recording. Restoration technology brings the recovered footage into the 4K format, linking historical performances with a modern home-cinema presentation.
German Steelbook details for Western European viewers
The German listing adds a practical detail for Western European viewers: the package includes German subtitles. The release date is 5 November 2026, and the physical format is a Steelbook containing 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs. The edition ties Presley’s concert archive directly to a home-cinema format under the Universal Pictures label.
