Elvis Presley’s concert film EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert vies for four Critics Choice Documentary Awards at the ceremony on 8 November 2026 in New York. The film is nominated in Best First Documentary Feature, Best Editing, Best Music Documentary and Best Archival Documentary.
The Critics Choice categories awaiting EPiC
The Critics Choice Association will reveal the winners on 8 November 2026 at The Edison Ballroom in Manhattan. Its official ceremony details also set a 7pm ET livestream across its online channels.
EPiC appears in four categories. Baz Luhrmann is named in Best First Documentary Feature and Jonathan Redmond in Best Editing, while the film itself is listed for Best Music Documentary and Best Archival Documentary.
Why EPiC centres Elvis Presley’s concert years
Authentic Studios’ account of the film says it combines long-unseen footage from Presley’s Las Vegas residency with 16mm material from Elvis on Tour and 8mm images from the Graceland archive. Rediscovered recordings of Presley also form part of the film.
That combination gives the Critics Choice nominations a clear musical centre: the Music Documentary category addresses the performance material, while the Archival Documentary category recognises the historical film sources. The awards programme therefore meets the film on both sides of its design, concert record and archival reconstruction.
EPiC carries Elvis Presley’s archive to streaming
The film was produced by Sony Music Vision, Bazmark and Authentic Studios, with distribution by NEON and Universal Pictures. Authentic Studios says it is available to stream on Paramount+.
The film’s international cinema rollout keeps Presley’s performance archive at the centre of the project while the November ceremony places that material within a documentary awards programme.
