Jay-Z’s Super Bowl LXI appearance has a fixed date
The NFL announcement names Jay-Z as the performer for the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show. The event takes place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on 14 February 2027, giving the performance a confirmed venue and date.
Roc Nation has produced the Super Bowl Halftime Show in partnership with the NFL. The arrangement connects Jay-Z’s own stadium performance with the production company’s established role in the programme, while the television distribution covers ESPN, ABC and Disney+.
Jay-Z’s catalogue reaches the Super Bowl stage
The Recording Academy biography identifies Jay-Z as a Brooklyn-born rapper and names Reasonable Doubt as his debut album. That catalogue connection gives the Super Bowl booking a direct link to the work that established his place in hip-hop.
The NFL’s announcement also links the performance with Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint. Jay-Z’s appearance therefore brings a catalogue-led rap performance to a broadcast built around one of sport’s largest annual stages.
