Judas Priest release the Remixed & Remastered edition of Sad Wings Of Destiny on 27 November 2026. The physical anniversary edition arrives as a 45 RPM, 180g double LP and a CD, with a newly remixed version of Diamonds And Rust as a bonus track.
Sad Wings Of Destiny returns as a remixed edition
The new edition uses original multitrack recordings. Tom Allom produced the mix, while Luie Stylianou handled mixing and Matt Colton mastered the result. Judas Priest’s release details also identify a newly remixed version of Diamonds And Rust as a bonus track.
The 45 RPM, 180g double LP is pressed on black vinyl and mastered at half-speed. The CD comes in a modern digipak, giving the edition a separate compact format. Its track sequence restores the album’s intended order, beginning with Prelude.
Judas Priest and Sad Wings Of Destiny’s metal blueprint
Judas Priest are a British heavy metal band whose early catalogue is at the centre of this anniversary project. The album is described as a formative recording, linking the band’s twin-guitar attack, soaring vocals and ambitious compositions. That combination places the 27 November 2026 release between archival presentation and a fresh studio treatment.
The partnership with Exciter Records and Reach Music connects the edition with the band’s creative partners. The accompanying interactive Early Years scrapbook centres on the formative period around the album and Rocka Rolla. The November release details place the remixed album in a wider anniversary programme.
Two archival editions frame the anniversary release
The companion Original Masters edition uses archival tapes and presents the album in its original master form. Together, the two editions give the anniversary programme separate archival and remixed identities. For Judas Priest, the 27 November release ties a current physical format to an album described as central to the band’s early identity.
