Queen released Queen Budapest on 6 November 2026, with the concert film and soundtrack forming a multi-format package. Sony Music Vision presented the release as a restored record of Queenâs final filmed live performance with Freddie Mercury.
Queen Budapest reaches listeners in six formats
On 6 November 2026, Sony Music Vision released Queen Budapest internationally through Sony Music. Hollywood Records handled the United States and Canada, while the package appeared on Blu-ray, DVD, digital, CD, HD Blu-ray and vinyl. Queenâs 6 November release details also identify Sony Music Vision as the presenting company.
The package paired the restored film with a newly remixed soundtrack. The audio edition added a 3LP vinyl release for the first time, alongside the Blu-ray, DVD, CD and digital versions. That combination linked Queenâs concert-film catalogue to a new physical audio format on the same 6 November 2026 release day.
Queenâs restored Budapest film preserves a final live performance
Queen Budapest presents Queenâs final filmed live performance with Freddie Mercury. The release material also describes the concert as the first Western stadium rock show behind the Iron Curtain. The 40th anniversary placed that concert history at the centre of the 6 November 2026 package.
The picture was restored in 4K from the original 35mm footage by Sir Peter Jacksonâs Park Road Post Production facility in New Zealand. Queenâs studio team newly remixed the audio from the original multitrack recordings. The restoration therefore brings the film and its soundtrack together as connected parts of one release.
The soundtrack gives Queen Budapest a vinyl debut
The audio package includes Radio Ga Ga, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Under Pressure and Bohemian Rhapsody. The official track description also names an acoustic take on the Hungarian folk song Tavaszi SzĂ©l Vizet Ăraszt.
MusikWoche described the 6 November package as an audio and video release, including the CD, digital, Blu-ray and DVD editions. Its 6 November package listing matches the formats announced for the international release.
