Simple Minds take Darker Waves to Huntington Beach
The band’s California festival announcement confirms the Darker Waves Festival appearance and gives Huntington Beach as the location. The official live schedule also lists 14 November 2026 and the festival name.
Live Nation places the event at Huntington Beach City Beach, near Huntington Street and Pacific Coast Highway. Its festival notice names Simple Minds among the performers and identifies Morrissey and The Smashing Pumpkins as the headliners.
Simple Minds connect Darker Waves with new music
Simple Minds are a Scottish band built around the long-running partnership of Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill. Their current plans combine the California festival date with the new studio album Sacrosanct, which is due on 29 January 2027 via BMG.
The album announcement presents Sacrosanct alongside the band’s wider live plans. That places the November festival appearance before a new recording and within an active period for the group.

The official schedule lists the next international run under the name V Tour. It gives Perth as a date on 13 February 2027, followed by further shows in Australia and New Zealand.
The European route reaches Germany in April 2027. Simple Minds are listed for Munich on 20 April, Berlin on 21 April, Hamburg on 27 April and Cologne on 28 April.
