Tears for Fears released the Advice For The Young At Heart EP on 30 October 2026. The five-track digital release brings together several versions of the band’s song.
Tears for Fears’ five-track EP revisits The Seeds Of Love
The EP gathers five versions of Advice For The Young At Heart. Its tracklist includes the standard song, a seven-inch version, an Italian radio edit, a backing track and a demo.
Apple Music listing gives the release a running time of 23 minutes and identifies it as a uDiscover Music release with UMG Recordings copyright. The Second Disc description places the EP among digital catalogue releases and links it to bonus material from the deluxe edition of The Seeds Of Love.
By concentrating on one song in five forms, the EP offers a compact digital edition rather than a new full-length studio collection. The different versions also show how one Tears for Fears composition can be presented across radio, instrumental and archival formats.
Tears for Fears’ Bath roots shape the EP’s pop frame
Tears for Fears are the English duo of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, formed in Bath. Their music is associated with synth-pop, new wave and pop-rock.
A Universal Music biography describes Orzabal and Smith as the group’s central songwriting partnership. The pair’s catalogue includes The Hurting, Songs From The Big Chair, The Seeds Of Love, Elemental, Raoul and the Kings of Spain and Everybody Loves a Happy Ending.
The new EP connects directly with that catalogue through a song from The Seeds Of Love. Its five-part format places the vocal recording beside alternate, edited, instrumental and demo versions.
