The Billboard Live Music Summit honours Weezer in West Hollywood
The award will be presented at 1 Hotel West Hollywood during the 2026 Billboard Live Music Summit on 10 November 2026. The event combines industry panels, networking and a special awards ceremony.
Billboard describes the Legend of Live Award as recognition for artists who have made lasting contributions to live music and concert touring. Its announcement places the band in conversation with Jason Lipshutz during the same 10 November 2026 programme. The official summit programme also lists Weezer among the event’s featured conversations.
Weezer’s 20th album links the band to the ceremony
The Billboard announcement identifies Weezer as a Grammy-winning American rock band and connects the award to its current touring cycle. That cycle centres on The Gathering, an arena tour promoting the self-titled Gold Album.
The self-titled record is Weezer’s 20th album. Billboard says it reached number 35 on the Billboard 200 and number six on Top Rock Albums, giving the forthcoming ceremony a direct link to the group’s latest studio period.
The November programme combines an award and conversation
Weezer’s appearance brings the band into a programme built around both live-music business discussion and artist recognition. The conversation with Lipshutz is listed separately from the presentation of the Legend of Live Award, so the 10 November 2026 event contains two distinct parts for the group.
The summit also features other artists and executives, while the awards programme is organised by Billboard. For Weezer, the West Hollywood date places its touring history and current album cycle in the same setting.
