DJI Neo weighs 135 g and records 4K/30fps video with a 1/2-inch image sensor, a 117.6° lens, and a 1435 mAh battery. DJI lists the drone at USD $169 and includes the drone, one Intelligent Flight Battery, propeller guards, spare propellers, a gimbal protector, a Type-C to Type-C PD cable, a screwdriver, and four spare propeller screws.

What DJI Built In

The official specs page lists a 130x157x48.5 mm body, a 7 km max flight distance, and 18 minutes of max flight time, or about 17 minutes with propeller guards. DJI also says Neo uses a single-axis mechanical gimbal and supports RockSteady, HorizonBalancing, and turning stabilization off.

DJI's product page says the drone can take off and land on a palm, connect to a smartphone via Wi-Fi, and use the DJI Fly app for voice control. It also lists Follow, Expanse, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, and Custom shooting modes, with Helix and Boomerang available through the app.

Best Buy lists the DJI Neo Drone in gray at USD $199, while DJI's own store shows the drone-only package at USD $169 and marks it out of stock. The same store page lists the bundle contents and says the recommended charger is the DJI 65W Portable Charger.

For a drone this small, the tradeoff is clear: Neo emphasizes palm launches, close-range filming, and simple controls over long flight sessions or obstacle avoidance. DJI states that Neo does not support obstacle avoidance and is suitable for users aged 16 and above.

Where Neo Fits

Compared with larger camera drones, Neo pushes weight and setup time down to the center of the experience. The 135 g takeoff weight, 12 MP photo output, 75 Mbps max video bitrate, and 50 m effective operating range frame it as a compact flying camera rather than a high-end aerial platform.

That mix makes Neo easiest to read as a light, short-range drone for quick clips, app control, and casual capture. The fixed specs and included accessories give it a sharp identity without turning it into a camera rig with interchangeable parts.
